    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to JPMC facilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Associate Architect, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Associate Architect, or related occupation.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Application Architecture Disciplines; designing and implementing scalable microservices architectures that support rapid development and deployment cycles; leading the development of enterprise-level applications using J2EE and Java, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices; driving the adoption of modern JavaScript frameworks to enhance user experience and application performance; developing RESTful and SOAP-based web services to facilitate seamless integration with third-party systems; overseeing the development of mobile applications using Swift and delivering high-quality solutions to meet user needs. This position requires four (4) years of experience with the following: developing responsive web applications using HTML and Angular, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and accessibility; implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability, reducing the likelihood of defects in production; collaborating with QA teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring comprehensive test coverage; analyzing test results to identify trends and areas for improvement, driving continuous quality enhancement; leading and managing technical teams; managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on time and within budget; communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; collaborating with cross- functional teams and other departments to achieve business objectives; collaborating with stakeholders to define key performance indicators and track progress against goals; aligning technical strategies with business goals and objectives; evaluating and implementing new technologies to drive innovation and efficiency. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: leading the design and implementation of server architectures using Linux and Unix, ensuring high availability and scalability; developing and enforcing security policies, including user access controls and firewall configurations, to protect sensitive data; mentoring junior team members in best practices for system administration and troubleshooting; collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure Windows systems meet business requirements and compliance standards; conducting regular system audits and performance tuning to maintain optimal operation and reliability; leading Agile transformation initiatives, promoting iterative development and continuous feedback to improve product quality; facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment and progress tracking; training and mentoring teams in Agile practices; configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, integrating security and compliance checks into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring adherence to organizational policies; monitoring pipeline performance and optimizing build times to enhance developer productivity; collaborating with development and operations teams to resolve pipeline issues and improve deployment reliability. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: implementing Splunk for real-time monitoring and analysis of system logs, enabling proactive issue detection and resolution; developing custom dashboards and alerts to provide insights into system performance and user behavior; collaborating with security teams to use Splunk for threat detection and incident response; training team members in using Splunk effectively; conducting code reviews and merging requests to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards; utilizing GIT for continuous integration, enabling rapid feedback and early detection of integration issues; managing repository access and permissions to ensure secure and organized code management.

     

    Job Location: 1111 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to JPMC facilities.
