As an Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for our Process Catalyst business unit you will build a meaningful career supporting BASF’s Vidalia Manufacturing operation located in Vidalia, Louisiana.

We are seeking a professional like you to perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance on a variety of production equipment including conveying, burner management, pneumatic, and other industrial process systems. Process Catalysts in the Vidalia, LA manufacturing site of North America while creating an engaged and safe work environment for our diverse employee base.

During your shift as an Industrial Electrician, you will

+ Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance on a variety of production equipment including

+ Pneumatic and mechanical conveying

+ Combustion and burner management systems

+ Pneumatic control systems

+ 480 VAC distribution systems

+ Analog and digital instrumentation

+ Process control system maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration

+ Variable frequency drives

+ Instrument and control valve calibration and repairs

+ Comprehend prints/drawings including P&IDs, loop drawings, single lines, logic drawings, etc.

+ Plan, design, fabricate, and install minor electrical and instrument projects

+ Operate/use calibration equipment and instrumentation

+ Safely use/operate hand tools, powered hand tools, and other industrial maintenance tools

+ Perform minor mechanical maintenance tasks including but not limited to installation and alignment of small to medium size motors, belt replacements, equipment lubrications, filter replacements, and other minor mechanical tasks

+ Assist mechanical maintenance technicians as required

If you...

+ Have a HS Diploma or GED with 5 years of industrial electrical/instrumentation experience or similar maintenance experience

+ Can lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.

+ Are willing and able to work 12-hour shifts on occasion

+ Are willing and able to work on call during off hours including nights/weekends/holidays

Pay Transparency

The pay rate for this role is $34.20 per the Union's collective bargaining agreement.
