We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to manage and maintain a large dataset of deidentified patient information. This role is critical in ensuring data integrity, security, privacy, and compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data management, policy development, and advanced analytics, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.

     

    This is a hybrid position, 2 days on site per week required in Warsaw, IN.

    How You'll Create Impact

    + Oversee the storage, organization, and maintenance of large-scale deidentified patient datasets.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA)

    + Manage expert determinations and documentation for deidentification processes.

    + Collaborate with external partners to acquire supplemental datasets.

    + Negotiate and manage data-sharing agreements and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

    + Perform SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.

    + Utilize advanced Excel functions, including Power Query, for data manipulation and reporting.

    + Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Azure, and other advanced analytical platforms for data analysis and automation.

    + Work with other data management systems and platforms to ensure interoperability and efficiency.

    + Identify opportunities to improve data workflows and implement best practices.

    + Document data analysis activities with internal protocols and reports, and lead publishing activities to share findings with the broader scientific community

    What Makes You Stand Out

    + Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

    + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Strong time management skills to navigate competing priorities.

    + Proven experience with SQL (e.g. BigQuery) and advanced Excel (including Power Query).

    + Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure) and version control tools (e.g., GitHub).

    + Strong technical writing and written and oral communication skills

    + Strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations.

    Your Background

    + Bachelor’s degree required in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).

    + 3+ years in data management, governance, or analytics roles required.

    + **Preferred Qualifications:**

    + Experience with expert determination processes and privacy compliance frameworks.

    + Experience with cybersecurity assessments and adherence to current standards.

    + Experience with healthcare data or clinical research datasets.

    + Knowledge of additional data management systems or ETL tools.

    + Familiarity with machine learning or advanced statistical analysis.

    + Working knowledge of Python for data analytics.
