Job Title: Advanced Buyer
Job Description
The Buyer for this project will optimize value through strategic sourcing, cost reduction, innovation, avoidance of supply disruption, risk mitigation, and growth throughout the supplier relationship life cycle. In addition, this role will implement productivity and service improvement initiatives across the spend. This is a very hands-on yet strategic position that will require proficient industry knowledge, excellent people and procurement skills, and an ability to improve processes on a continuous basis.
Responsibilities
+ Manage procurement process from requisition to payment.
+ Lead evaluation, selection, and qualification of new suppliers.
+ Work with internal customers, namely the project team, to identify, understand, and translate purchasing needs.
+ Ensure continuous supply of assigned goods and services to meet manufacturing and customer deadlines.
+ Conduct competitive bids; secure and analyze quotations; negotiate prices and terms with suppliers while complying with procurement procedures and US Government regulations.
+ Negotiate and administer commercial contracts, collaborating with legal counsel to ensure compliance with legal standards and requirements.
+ Follow market trends, industry standards, and supplier economics to maintain competitiveness.
+ Utilize contracts, procurement best practices, spend analysis, and supplier management techniques to manage cost and risk.
+ Maintain various supplier and MRO master data information within an Oracle ERP system.
+ Resolve commercial conflicts and initiate corrective action when expectations are not met.
+ Adhere to all intellectual property standards, safety, health, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and encourage others to do the same.
Essential Skills
+ 5-7 years of procurement experience.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred.
+ Oracle experience is highly desired.
+ Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity and resolve conflicts from balancing multiple priorities.
+ Ability to plan and prioritize activities with timely follow-through to meet deadlines.
Work Environment
The position requires a Monday through Friday schedule, with three days onsite and two days remote, from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, including a one-hour lunch break. The work environment includes a cubicle or an office space, if available, and equipment will be provided for remote work during the two days out of the office each week.

This is a Contract position based out of Boyertown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
