Contract Specialist | Onsite in Portsmouth, VA | 60k - 80k/yr | 6-month contract-to-hire

Job Description

As a Contract Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the IT department, focusing on cleaning up quotes, contracts, and software management. You will manage the end-to-end process of contracts, including negotiations, signature processes, renewals, and extensions, ensuring continuity and efficiency in services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can navigate existing services, handle renewals, and follow up with vendors effectively.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee the clean-up of quotes, contracts, and software in the IT department.

+ Manage end-to-end contract processes, including negotiations, signature processes, renewals, and extensions.

+ Ensure continuity of services by handling renewals and invoices effectively.

+ Follow up with vendors and manage Certificates of Insurance (COI).

+ Maintain attention to detail and focus on the complete cycle of contract management.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in purchasing, procurement, and contract management.

+ Experience with IT procurement and data entry.

+ Strong skills in Adobe and Microsoft Office.

+ At least 3 years of experience in IT, finance, contracts, or procurement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ An Associate's degree is required; a degree will open more opportunities for permanent positions.

+ High-level understanding of services, primarily focusing on services rather than equipment.

+ No specific certifications are required for this role.

Work Environment

This position operates within a standard office environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role involves the use of Adobe DC and Microsoft software.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $87000.00/hr.
