Senior SEC Consultant
Job Description
The Senior SEC Consultant is responsible for supporting the Manager of External Financial Reporting through a variety of tasks including the review of quarterly press releases and documents filed with the SEC and other regulatory bodies. The role involves preparing quarterly and annual SEC financial statements, developing and drafting materials for disclosure committee and working group meetings, and providing financial information for both external and internal auditors. Additionally, the position oversees the review of the company's benefit plan and foreign subsidiaries' statutory financial statements and ensures the proper execution of key SOX controls.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements (e.g., statements of cash flows) and 1934 Act forms (10-Qs and 10-K) for SEC filing, including technical review, documentation preparation, and coordination of the XBRL process.
+ Assist the Manager of External Financial Reporting by agreeing amounts to supporting documentation for quarterly press releases, annual reports to shareholders, proxy statements, debt prospectus statements, and other SEC and regulatory filings.
+ Prepare materials for working group and disclosure committee meetings, including timelines, request lists, and disclosure controls.
+ Prepare quarterly variance analytics.
+ Coordinate and prepare financial information for external and internal auditors and other internal stakeholders.
+ Ensure proper execution of SOX key controls and coordinate disclosure controls and procedures related to external financial reporting.
+ Review the company's benefit plan and foreign subsidiaries' statutory financial statements and handle special projects and ad hoc requests from senior management.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with SEC reporting, including 10-K and 10-Q filings.
+ Strong financial reporting and accounting skills.
+ Proficiency in using Workiva/Wdesk for financial documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Undergraduate degree in Accounting is required.
+ Advanced degrees such as an MBA or master's degree are considered a plus.
+ Minimum of three years of related work experience is required, including at least two years in a similar role.

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
