Brief Position Summary
The **Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist** ensures customer satisfaction through on-site customer service support, including order replenishment, product put-away, Lean (6S), and maintaining solutions equipment.
This role partners with sales and business development teams to drive incremental revenue and growth through solutions. **Duties and Responsibilities**
+ Drive MSC customer loyalty through the support and promotion of solutions
+ Support and collaborate with MSC customer solutions and sales associates through execution of the **CARE** program (Clean, Arrange, Relationships, Exceed Expectations)
+ Maintain **6S** appearance of all solutions equipment
+ Log daily activities in **SFDC**
+ Ensure appropriate stock levels (min/max) are maintained
+ Unpack, receive, and put away product at all solution points of use
+ Connect with customer contacts to ensure retention of solutions
+ Drive product expansion through spot buys and incremental solution growth
+ Lead focus of 100% safety compliance for the VMIS team
+ Lead in the repair and maintenance of vending solution equipment to company standards
+ Recommend opportunities for Solutions / Spot Buy Growth to Sales Associates and Management, documenting in SFDC
+ Support shared profitability improvement goals within assigned accounts
+ Maintain knowledge of all inventory management solutions
+ Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customers
+ Guide less experienced associates to resolve customer issues, increase product knowledge, and promote MSC Culture
+ Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
+ Utilize routing software tools to adhere to planned schedules and document daily activities
+ Maintain daily timekeeping using MSC-approved time management applications
+ Foster MSC Culture throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC s vision and unity of purpose
+ Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
What You Need
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum of two years servicing MSC inventory management solutions
+ Advanced knowledge of vending solutions setup, maintenance, and repair
+ Proven track record of success and strong performance in current role
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed company goals and objectives
+ Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Understanding of company solutions, products, and services
Bonus Points If You Have
+ Associate s degree or equivalent work experience
+ Relevant military experience
Other Requirements
+ Valid driver s license
+ Position requires over 80% daily travel within assigned territory
+ Overnight travel may be required based on business needs
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
+ Ability to walk, lift, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods
+ Willingness to adhere to customer safety and PPE protocols
+ Must be able to pass customer-specific background requirements (drug testing, background checks, etc.)
+ May require access to **International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** and/or **Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)**
Compensation starting at $22-$25 per hour dependent on candidate location and experience.
The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
