    Structural Project Engineer

    Are you a creative and detail-oriented engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges? We’re looking for a Structural Project Engineer to join a dynamic, employee-owned architecture and engineering team that values innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform structural engineering tasks, calculations, and analyses using both hand methods and software tools

    + Develop drawings, reports, and specifications for a variety of projects

    + Coordinate structural design activities with other disciplines

    + Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior staff

    + Support proposal development and assist with estimating structural design efforts

    + Review submittals, respond to construction inquiries, and conduct field visits to active project sites

    What You’ll Bring

    + 10+ years of progressive structural design experience with steel and concrete systems

    + Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering (Structural focus) or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

    + Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia or ability to obtain reciprocity within 3 months

    + Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit

    + Experience using structural analysis software such as RAM Structural System, RISA, or RAM Concept

    + Eligibility to work in the U.S. and obtain a security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with federal or industrial projects

    + Master’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering

    + Familiarity with Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build project delivery

    + Experience with blast-resistant design
