    CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Drafting/CAD Technician II. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical backgrounds, proficiency in CAD (especially SolidWorks), and a collaborative mindset. Candidates should be highly interested in CAD work; higher-level engineering degrees with minimal CAD experience are not a fit.

    **Pay Rate:** Based on experience

    **Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm

    **Education:** 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience with drafting certificate

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a Drafting/CAD Technician II to manage and maintain technical drawings, support operations and improvement projects, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to design and troubleshoot equipment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong CAD skills and a passion for detailed technical work.

    Responsibilities:

    + Maintain and coordinate plant drawings

    + Ensure project documentation is complete (drawings, spare parts, procedures, schedules)

    + Assist teams in designing manufacturing equipment

    + Support troubleshooting with technical drawings

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + 2-year technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM, or Manufacturing, or equivalent drafting certificate

    + At least 2 years of relevant experience

    + Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software

    + Microsoft Excel skills

    + Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings

    + Knowledge of GD&T

    + Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills

    + Excellent verbal and written communication

    + Ability to work independently and in a team

    Preferred Skills:

    + AutoCAD experience

    + Familiarity with manufacturing environments

    + Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems

    + Advanced computer skills

    + Experience with 3D printing and SolidWorks PDM

    Additonal Information:
