    **Location:** Wilmington, NC, 10% travel to Concord or vendor sites

    _Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Wilmington, NC_

    **Pay Rate:** Based on experience

    **Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm

    **Education:** BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with minimum 3+ years manufacturing experience

    Overview:

    CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to provide hands-on support for construction, installation, debug, and startup of manufacturing equipment and automated systems. The role involves supervising engineering techs, maintenance personnel, and contract trades to ensure equipment is installed safely, on time, and to specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    + Lead and train teams on equipment installation and troubleshooting.

    + Hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and component replacement.

    + Develop and manage project plans while ensuring safety, quality, and timelines.

    + Redesign mechanical components to improve installation efficiency and reduce costs.

    + Collaborate with external integrators and machine builders for successful system delivery.

    + Review and update drawings, checklists, and equipment documentation.

    + Procure and expedite materials for installations.

    Requirements:

    + BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 3+ years in manufacturing equipment.

    + Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, tools, and alignment devices.

    + Familiarity with process variables (flow, temperature, pressure, level) and P&IDs.

    + Knowledge of mechanical drive trains, electrical/pneumatic actuators, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

    + Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and safety-first mindset.
