    The Assistant provides administrative support to two to three frontline fundraisers on Foundation Relations (FR), including managing daily team operations, composing original written materials, undertaking special projects, and representing the Division across the Institute. Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals. This position will report to the Director II, Foundation Relations & the Managing Director, Foundation Relations.

     

    This position is considered remote, 0-1 days onsite at 10 Brookline Place, Brookline, MA each week. DFCI guidelines state that employees must reside in New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.

    APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Resume and cover letter required with application submission.

     

    + Perform data entry in client management software, including donor contacts, visits, communication, and gift information;

    + Identify and track funding opportunities and new prospective funders, prepare written summaries and spreadsheets for faculty;

    + Manage or co-manage special projects, such as the coordination of FR donor stories in the _Impact_ donor magazine, as assigned;

    + Compose internal and external correspondence including briefings, call reports, cover letters, acknowledgment letters, and other correspondence; type, format, proofread/edit, and email/mail correspondence;

    + Assist with preparation of proposal and report components;

    + Update and maintain acknowledgment log to ensure timely recognition of gifts and update database with report deadlines;

    + Schedule meetings and donor visits, including reserving conference rooms and parking, ordering food, and overseeing audio/visual set-up;

    + Interact with Institute senior staff, physicians, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and prospects on confidential matters;

    + Coordinate across internal teams to advance Division-wide financial and administrative goals.

     

    High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred. No experience required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary with a strong orientation to customer service. Superior organizational skills, ability to manage a variety of projects, and flexibility to make adjustments when priorities change are key. Directed and self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and work with a variety of personalities. Solid computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office Suite products is absolutely necessary. High degree of discretion must always be exercised.

     

    Pay Transparency Statement

     

    The hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills and qualifications.

     

    For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

     

    Salary: $26.82/hour
