Work Location: Fully On-Site at Forbes Tower, 3600 Forbes Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15213
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm with OT available.
Pay Range: $24-$29per/hr. based upon experience
Purpose:
The IOC position supports a 24x7x365 application monitoring and UPMC enterprise-wide communication utilizing a combination of network tools, Service Now ticketing and various communication methods.
Responsibilities:
+ Network monitoring tools, incident communications.
+ Uses the IOC monitoring tools such as MrGui, Netcool, and Sitescan, etc.
+ Has basic knowledge of hospital terminology.
+ Is familiar with and enforces security policies of the physical data center.
+ Proficiently applies IT methods, professional knowledge, and UPMC standards and practices.
+ Displays basic knowledge of OPC job scheduler and be able to complete jobs in error when requested.
+ Responsible for continuous self-study, trainings, partnering with more senior members of team, and/or seeking out opportunities to broaden scope to stay up to date with industry and organizational trends. Seeks feedback from senior team members for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors.
+ Respond to unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations with the professionally prescribed standard response.
+ Responsible for demonstrating appropriate, clear, concise, and effective written and oral communications in all interactions to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects.
+ Provide service to ISD client community, patients, families and visitors, while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures.
+ Solid analytical and organizational skills with clear focus under pressure.
+ Shows basic knowledge of Cherwell, which is used for incident reporting, Unplanned Event escalation, Planned Event notifications and Change Requests (RFCs).
+ Sends basic Unplanned Event Escalations
+ Successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Works in collaboration with team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts. Shows the ability to adjust and be flexible to change by adapting approach when necessary.
+ Performs tape handling procedure: Prepare for pickup and receive backup tapes from Iron Mountain, and ftp report for next day?s delivery. Understands the reason for the tape backup process.
+ Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate among highly technical teams.
+ Typically has familiarity with related work through education or practical experience.
+ Must be Customer Service oriented.
