UPMC Corporate Marketing is hiring a Senior Manager, Data Analytics Architecture and Analytics to join our team at the US Steel Tower! The position will have a hybrid schedule with onsite work two days per week.
The Senior Manager will manage comprehensive analysis of data and information for the UPMC Health System using business intelligence tools. The Senior Manager, Data Architecture and Analytics will work with the Director to enhance, develop, document, and communicate strategic initiatives using business intelligence platforms to identify patterns and opportunities for the Corporate Marketing department using data from disparate sources. This person will have technical understanding of all aspects of enterprise level Martech Stacks: website content management system (CMS), email and marketing automation platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) software, personalization engine, digital media platforms, analytics engine, and business intelligence tools. To successfully perform the role, the Senior Manager Data Architecture and Analytics must be highly knowledgeable and understand the causes of marketing, volume, census, procedures, patient mix and insurance mix trends and anomalies. The Senior Manager, Data Architecture and Analytics must use their expertise and understanding of business intelligence platforms, data lakes, and data warehouses to architect useful data visualizations generated by numerous sources to identify patterns and opportunities to improve clinical volumes and marketing campaign performance. Furthermore, the position requires the ability to articulate opportunities and actionable insights to internal and external executive audiences.

Responsibilities:
+ Must carry out all responsibilities with minimal direct supervision.
+ Monitor marketing performance against internal, regional, and national benchmarks.
+ Manage data architecture and analytics vendors to develop and create new data visualizations and algorithms to successfully analyze, optimize and visualize marketing and de-identified patient data.
+ Interpret and trend marketing and de-identified patient data into KPIs for marketing campaigns. Take initiative to investigate variances and derive conclusions and solutions from this data.
+ Perform in-depth statistical and qualitative analyses related to the marketing and de-identified patient data. Ability to explain this analysis to a non-technical audience of both internal and external audiences, including executive management.
+ Ability to extract and define relevant information within marketing and de-identified patient data.
+ Meet deadlines and turnaround times set by Director and Vice President. These deadlines and turnaround times will, at times, require the employee to work until project is completed, meaning extended daily work hours, extended work weeks, or both.
+ Oversee the development of utilization and marketing reports for forecasting, trending and results analysis.
+ Manage internal team and external partners to extract, transform, and load data from multiple Martech and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms into Domo, our Business Intelligence platform.
+ Coach executive audiences on data literacy and advanced analytics.
+ Control the development, communication, and deployment of architecture governance processes.
+ Present complex datasets in an easily understandable and actionable visualizations that lead positively impact business outcomes.
+ Lead data integration and visualization of large disparate data sets from multiple platforms and departments.
+ Define governance framework and audit adherence/deviations to architecture.
+ Implement data architecture standards, procedures, and policies to ensure consistency across different program and project implementations.
+ B.S. degree in business, mathematics, statistics required, MBA strongly preferred.
+ At least eight years of experience in business, health care, marketing, or a related field required.
+ Two+ years managing an Analytics staff required.
+ Experience with design and implementation of BI solutions including strategy, architecture, governance, and analytics best practice alignment.
+ Current hands-on experience with industry leading data management tools that support setting and driving long term data architecture roadmaps in alignment with corporate strategic objectives.
+ Experience architecting complex data warehouse solutions for global organizations
+ Experience with Advanced Analytics (Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, etc.)Experience coaching executive audiences in data literacy and business intelligence concepts.
+ Superior technical skills with expert knowledge in Excel and business intelligence platforms and tools like DOMO.
+ Understanding of data integration functions, processes, and techniques such as SQL, data transformation, and ETL.
+ Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, enthusiasm and initiative on a daily basis.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment a must.
+ Excellent problem solving, planning, communication, documentation, organizational, and analytic capabilities.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and forge strong interpersonal relationships within the department, with other departments, and with external audiences.
+ Attention to detail is critical to the success of this position, with demonstrated competency in customer orientation and the ability to deal with ambiguity.
+ Ability to re-engineer processes to positively impact productivity in terms of timeliness and accuracy.
+ Possess industry knowledge and expertise in understanding healthcare marketing, advertising.
