Job Overview
Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our team at our University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 8AM - 4:30PM with weekends as needed.
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Responsibilities
+ Maintains patient care
+ Performs examinations
+ Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
+ Verify patient identification and documentation
+ Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
+ Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
+ Orients and mentors new employees and students
Required Qualifications
+ ARRT Radiology Tech
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications
+ 1 year experience as a technologist
