• Remote SAP Functional Lead (Warehouse Management)

    Job Description

    An aerospace manufacturing employer is seeking an experienced SAP Functional Lead to spearhead the integration of SAP with Thomson Reuters OneSource FTZ solution, enabling tariff mitigation and compliance across eight U.S.-based aerospace manufacturing and warehousing sites that will be designated as Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ). This role will serve as the primary functional point of contact, working closely with architects and stakeholders to gather requirements, and will need to author detailed functional specifications and translate business requirements into technical deliverables for development teams. The position involves managing SAP transaction data flows to the TR system for accurate reporting, overseeing extraction and transmission of complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) by engine model, and ensuring system readiness for FTZ operations. The SAP Functional Lead will also coordinate end-to-end testing in quality environments using Jira, validate code changes, and maintain strong customer-facing communication throughout the project lifecycle. This is a critical role in supporting compliance and cost optimization for international trade activities.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Extensive SAP functional experience with an understanding of what the system does and how it works, with proven integration expertise

    • Background in SAP ECC Warehouse Management & S4 EWM

    • Foundational knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP

    • Strong ability to author and own functional specifications and collaborate with stakeholders architects and developers

    • Hands-on experience with SAP data extraction and third-party system integration (preferably Thomson Reuters OneSource FTZ solution)

    • Proficiency in Jira for testing and defect tracking Understanding of FTZ processes and tariff compliance in a manufacturing context.
