Job Description
The TacAir Tech-Ops team is looking for a second shift process engineer to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at their Nashua New Hampshire facility. The role demands working closely with cross functional organizational teams in the Electronic Warfare Integration Manufacturing Center (EWIMC) final module assembly, box level assembly, and test. This position brings with it an exciting opportunity to influence the successful execution of TacAir and Small Form Factor (SFFS) production goals and achieving its operational excellence.
In this role, the process engineer will be responsible for:
+ Review the technical content of drawings, engineering specifications, Engineering Change Orders, test specs, and other documentation
+ Daily production assembly engineering support
+ Create rework plans for factory defects
+ Create, and update work instructions for process clarity or deficiencies
+ Create, process, and support non-conformances in the quality manufacturing execution system
+ Support of the test areas for process plan clerical needs due to module reworks out of chassis from the test cells.
+ Preliminary material review support
+ Support Root Cause and Corrective action activities
+ Provide training and support to manufacturing team members
+ Support all factory assembly processes equipment, tools and tooling
+ Flexibility to work overtime and/or weekend as required to meet business objectives
The expectation is to achieve operational excellence through hands-on problem-solving. The goal is to support and improve assembly build processes to mitigate cost of poor quality, improve quality yields, cycle and on time delivery schedules while driving towards the ultimate goal of zero defects.
Please Note this position supports our 2nd Shift. You will be paid a 10% Pay Premium while working the 2nd Shift from 2:00PM to 12:30 AM - 4/10 work week - Working Monday to Thursday every Friday off.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Associate Degree in an engineering discipline or in a related technical field or 3-4 years work experience within an engineering role in lieu of degree
+ Electromechanical manufacturing process engineering industry experience
+ Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers
+ Effectively communicate status both orally and in writing on technical aspects of manufacturing in program production meetings
+ Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
+ Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast paced environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Relevant process engineering or manufacturing engineering industry experience, preferably in subassembly with electro-mechanical hardware manufacturing processes
+ PPV/FAI industry experience
+ Green Belt and Lean manufacturing training and demonstrated ability to apply these principles
+ Prior experience working within a DoD environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $63653 - $108210
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
