    **_The Northwest ADA Center (NWADAC)_** **in the** **_Department of Rehabilitation Medicine_** **has an outstanding opportunity for a** **_Temporary_** **,** **_Part Time_** **(50% FTE) Research Study Coordinator 1.** The Research Study Coordinator 1 will be responsible for coordinating the Northwest ADA Center’s research projects, which focus on expanding access to healthcare, employment, and other areas of life for people with disabilities. This position will assist with operational management of the research process from inception to completion.

     

    This position’s impact is related to the NW ADA Center (Northwest Americans with Disabilities Act), which is funded by NIDILRR (National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research) through the UW Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Under the direction of the NW ADA Center Director, this position does the following:

    Coordinates study procedures with participants – 20%

    • Schedules interviews or focus groups

    • Obtains consent from study participants

    • Manages participant compensation payments

    Assist in developing literature reviews – 20%

    • Provides bi-weekly updates on relevant streams of literature

     

    Maintains data collection files and provides support for data management – 20%

    Maintains research studies’ schedules – 15%

    • Initiate reminders and prompts to research team regarding upcoming deadlines

    Assist in developing study data collection instruments – 10%

    • Interview protocols

    • Questionnaires

    • Pre and post survey forms

     

    Organizes and participates in research and NW ADA team meetings – 10%

     

    Performs other duties as required – 5%

     

    Pay Rate Information

     

    The salary information provided below is for a full-time position and will be pro-rated for part-time.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience performing work in support of clinical, biomedical, or behavioral research studies involving human subject.

     

    _Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration._

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and Windows OS

    • Experience conducting literature reviews

    • Experience working with and/or recruiting individuals with disabilities

    • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently, be flexible while being part of a team

    • Working knowledge of database management programs to analyze data and prepare summary narrative reports, graphs, tables, charts, and illustrations.

    Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $44,256.00 annual

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $56,124.00 annual
