    Job Summary

    The Sr Safety and Security Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Point32Health’s safety programs, evacuation procedures, emergency response protocols, and OSHA compliance. This role is essential to maintaining a safe and secure environment across all facilities and contributes significantly to the organization’s overall safety strategy.

     

    The incumbent leads safety and security incident investigations and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders—including corporate continuity and IS teams, contract security, business units, fire departments, and law enforcement. Additional responsibilities include supporting facility upgrades, delivering training, promoting wellness and safety programs, and serving as a backup to the Senior Manager of Safety & Security.

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities/Duties** **– what you will be doing** (top five) **:

    Safety

    + **Program Lead** : Develop and maintain safety policies, evacuation plans, and emergency procedures. Oversee Safety Warden training and preparedness across all locations.

    + **Incident Management & Compliance** : Participate in the Incident Management Team; conduct safety inspections and investigations; maintain OSHA logs; support workers’ compensation and hazardous waste programs.

    + **Facility & Environmental Oversight** : Coordinate evacuation drills and ensure compliance with building management and emergency services. Address indoor environmental quality concerns.

    + **Systems & Reporting** : Use incident reporting software to track and analyze safety and security data. Manage annual security audits and penetration testing.

    + **Employee Engagement & External Relations** : Deliver safety and security presentations, manage first aid programs, maintain intranet resources, and foster relationships with emergency response agencies.

    Security

    + **Program Coordination** : Support and coordinate security initiatives/investigations, processes, standards, and reporting as needed.

    + **Operational Support** : Serve as backup to the Senior Manager of Safety & Security, maintaining familiarity with all security operations and procedures.

    Other Duties

    + Prepare reports, memos, and administrative correspondence as needed.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally within and outside the department.

    + Provide weekly status updates to the manager on projects and objectives.

     

    Qualifications** **– what you need to perform the job

    Education

    + Required (minimum): Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to Safety, OSHA Compliance, Security, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice.

    Experience

    + Required (minimum): 3-5 years of professional experience.

    + Preferred: 5-7 years’ experience in facility safety and security programs and projects.

    Skill Requirements

    + (Prior experience in the development of evacuation plans, procedures, and drills. Must have demonstrated skill in life safety training of both large and small groups

     

    Working Conditions and Additional Requirements** (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel) **:

     

    + This position is primarily on-site, with occasional flexibility to work from home as required.

    + Must be able to work under standard office conditions, including prolonged periods of sitting and simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard.

    + May be required to work additional hours beyond the standard work schedule to meet business needs.

    + Must be available to respond to emergency situations on a 24/7 on-call basis as needed.

    + Occasional travel to regional offices is required.

    Salary Range

     

    $81,059.20 -$121,588.80

    The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
