With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *Revenue Cycle ITS Functional Architect* *Focus areas: Professional Billing* ** *Position Summary:* The Professional Billing Functional Architect reports to the Application Manager and provides guidance and support for the Application Team Lead. The Architect will follow internal ITS policies and procedures. They complete in depth and precise investigation and documentation of operational specifications and application functionality to deliver on expected outcomes. They work closely with Revenue Cycle Operations, system vendors, consultants, all Epic applications teams, and technical services to triage service requests and scope projects in a timely manner. The Architect serves as the primary project manager within the team and will cross-coordinate between applications for larger initiatives. They are responsible for project intake, timeline development, slotting all projects, coordinating status updates, and escalations. They are seen as the highest subject matter expert and are responsible for keeping projects on task and on time. The Architect will use Service Now (SNOW) as the source of truth for all system work and updates. They will communicate to customers and leadership in a timely manner based on SLAs. *Position Responsibilities:* · Supports Customer Groups. Proactively engages with understanding their pain points as it relates to ITS. · Engages in collaboration with all stakeholders. · Attend discovery/focus group meetings to understand how solutions are determined. · Provides technical and application expertise to the Customer Group. · Accountable to manage all requests for ITS services including consultation on completion of Intake documentation and monitoring of request status. · Understands the operational issues within their application area to represent user needs. · Analyzes workflow decisions and how they translate into application configurations to ensure system design reflects decisions. · Anticipates and provides solutions to problems with the necessary priorities. Presents solutions to operational leaders within respective team/area. · Project Management · Troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems. · Assists in the development and documentation of Standard Work Processes that will be used to support the application. · Actively participates in weekly team meetings to discuss team and project related activities, issues, changes, communications, and updates. · Supports team members with knowledge of application and information systems. · Collaborates with vendor resources and plays an active role in managing the technical build and issue resolution. · Documents and maintains all required system design and build documents and configures system accordingly. · Performs in depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of their respective system. · Contributes in the preparation and execution of testing scripts and materials and performs unit, system, and integrated testing tasks. · Promotes a team atmosphere that is conducive to the overall accomplishment of goals, schedules, and deadlines. · Provides on-call support. · Supports end users during go live which may include weekend and after hours. · Performs other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:* * Epic certification in Resolute Professional Billing. * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a HealthCare environment required. * 5 to 7 years of Epic IT experience and at least 2 years developing and executing strategic plans and/or projects. * Demonstrates expert level knowledge of the Epic Professional Billing application and integration between other areas. * Strong knowledge of state and federal health care information technology laws and regulations and how they apply to Epic application and build. * Strong understanding of general information technology policies and procedures. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities.
