Job Purpose: The Shipping Specialist is responsible for the proper documentation and controls of all outgoing materials at the Bridgewater base as well as shipping support for all of Dynamic Aviation bases. This Specialist position exists to provide subject matter expertise to their functional team.

Responsibilities:

+ Through extensive expertise in shipping practices and shipping vendor processes, seek out, recommend, and implement cost savings opportunities

+ Verify and keep records of all outgoing shipments

+ Package, address, and ship merchandise or materials using common industry standards

+ Arrange Domestic and International outgoing and third party shipments

+ Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of shipping materials

+ Perform shipping functions in the company inventory software

+ Maintain high level of accuracy and efficiency while performing job functions

+ Complete electronic claims for received items damaged in shipping

+ Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

+ Maintain all required personnel certifications required to ship ITAR and any Dangerous Goods (HAZMAT)

+ Ensure all shipments are processed and shipped in accordance with all Export Compliance and Dangerous Goods standards

+ Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

+ High School diploma or GED required

+ All required Dangerous Goods (HAZMAT) and Export Compliance certifications

+ Ability to learn complex software products quickly

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred) and various company software programs

+ Familiarity with proper packaging methods and the ability to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements

+ Ability to work productively in a fast-paced atmosphere without distraction

+ Ability to sit, stand and kneel for extended periods of time

+ Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to operate a forklift
