    We are experiencing growth and we are looking for a Reliability Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX\.

     

    You will be the Reliability Engineer for the Reliability & Test Team in Grand Prairie, TX\. Our team ensures that every piece of production hardware meets or exceeds design and contract reliability requirements by conducting rigorous analyses, driving growth programs, and supporting design reviews\.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for developing and executing technical reliability studies, guiding corrective action boards, and delivering data driven recommendations that improve product and process robustness\. You’ll work side by side with designers, test engineers, and program managers to translate reliability metrics into actionable improvements\.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Performing Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analyses \(FMECA\) and documenting results\.

    • Creating and maintaining reliability growth plans; analyzing growth data to steer program improvements\.

    • Building reliability block diagrams, predictive models, and statistical analyses to satisfy contract obligations\.

    • Acting as a key participant on Corrective Action Boards \(CAB\) and Failure Review Boards \(FRB\)\.

    • Mining FRACAS data to spot trends, prioritize failure modes, and drive corrective action initiatives\.

    • Reviewing Engineering Change Proposals \(ECP\) and supporting Concept Screening Board \(CSB\) and Configuration Control Board \(CCB\) decisions\.

    • Developing mathematical models that flag high risk units, batches, or processes and recommending design or formulation changes\.

    • Advising on test methods, statistical process control, and other techniques to achieve required reliability levels\.

    • Compiling performance reports, process control statistics, and concise reliability dashboards for leadership\.

    • Collaborating daily with cross functional engineers, providing analytical input, and authoring clear, compelling reports\.

    • Occasionally traveling to supplier sites, test facilities, or customer locations as project needs dictate\.

    Further Information About This Opportunity:

    This position is in Grand Prairie, TX\.

     

    MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN \- The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance\.

    • Experience with performing reliability predictions and analyses\.

    • Experience with reliability FRACAS and statistical data mining\.

    • Experience with the FMECA process\.

    • Ability to manage subcontractors in the Reliability field of expertise\.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office\.

    • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships\.

    • Additionally, candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups\.

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college with 3 years of professional experience\.

    Desired Skills:

    • Active Secret Clearance

    • Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance \(RCM\)

    • Strong electrical background with a good mechanical understanding

    • Practical hands on experience with hardware test and troubleshooting\.

    • Analytical thinker with a demonstrated ability of solving complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation\.

    • Military experience

    • Safety engineering knowledge

    • Human Factors Engineering knowledge\.

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
