Key Responsibilities:

Sr. Analysts demonstrate these skills to support value-added projects across many of United’s departments

+ Working on or leading workstreams within projects in conjunction with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data, develop improvements and innovations

+ Gathering and analyzing data of United’s various operations to make fact-based, data-driven recommendations

+ Utilizing technical skills and software (simulation in SIMO/ARENA, Excel, VBA, etc.) to analyze and improve business processes and to create tools for use by other departments

+ Performing measurement and analysis (time and motion studies) in different environments, including airports, maintenance bases, customer contact centers, etc.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or other relevant degrees.

+ 2 years of experience in analytics, engineering, continuous improvement, or consulting

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

+ High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products and in statistical software such as Minitab or JMP

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Business Administration

+ Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification from a recognized institution

+ Experience with SIMIO/ARENA, SQL, Minitab, Visual Basic (VBA), and other programming tools

The base pay range for this role is $87,780.00 to $114,376.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
