Arnerich Massena was founded in 1991 and specialized in providing portfolio management, investment advisory, and family office services for high-net-worth individuals, families, endowments, and foundations. The company was known for investing with vision, passion, and purpose, with a focus on both client service and community commitment. In July 2024, Arnerich Massena merged with Coldstream. Located in NE Portland, the team is now adding a CSA position.
The Client Service Associate Role
The Client Service Associate performs operational duties which directly impact the client experience. This position is the day-to-day contact for clients and has primary responsibility for account servicing. The CSA supports the team’s Wealth Management Associates in preparing and processing documentation related to client onboarding and ongoing maintenance for private clients.
Specific responsibilities include:
+ Serving as a liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers, including managing client information and handling all cashiering and money movement requests
+ Scheduling and organizing client meetings and proactively preparing meeting materials in advance
+ Coordinating the new client onboarding process:
+ Opening brokerage accounts, establishing cashiering needs, setting up online reporting access
+ Updating cost basis, tracking required minimum distributions, reconciling account information
+ Sending and receiving documents to clients, their advisors, and investment custodians
+ Entering and maintaining client data and activity notes in our CRM system
Required Experience:
+ At least 1 year of experience working in finance or relevant internship
+ 1-3 years of customer service experience and the desire to provide superior client service in a team-oriented environment
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac portfolio accounting (or similar systems) is a plus
+ Exceptional communication skills, including grammar and punctuation
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes consistently
+ Excellent prioritization and task management skills
+ Outstanding reliability (the team’s hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday)
+ A Bachelor’s degree is preferred due to future career path requirements
