    PURPOSE

    The Simulation Technician supports daily operations of the Simulation and Clinical Learning Center by preparing, operating, and maintaining manikins, task trainers, audiovisual systems, and related equipment. This position ensures smooth delivery of simulation-based education through technical expertise, collaboration with faculty and staff, and attention to safety and quality.

    DESCRIPTION

    Technical 55%

    + Set up, operate, and troubleshoot high-fidelity manikins, task trainers, VR/AR systems, and AV equipment.

    + Assist faculty with scenario staging, moulage, and room preparation.

    Operational 40%

    + Maintain, clean, and perform basic repairs on simulation equipment and supplies.

    + Manage inventory, consumables, and ordering of parts.

    + Support video recording, playback, and debriefing systems.

    + Train and guide faculty and students in simulation technology use.

    + Ensure adherence to infection control and safety standards.

    Other 5%

    + Perform other duties as assigned to support simulation operations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Associate degree in applicable field.

    + One (1) year of related lab work experience.

    + Additional experience may be considered as a substitute for the minimum education requirement:

    + High school diploma/GED with three (3) years of related lab work experience.

    + Technical aptitude and experience in computer technology, simulation, healthcare, or audiovisual systems.

    + Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to lift/move equipment; flexible scheduling including occasional evenings/weekends.

    + Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.

     

    This position is a part-time position at 20 hours per week.

     

    SALARY: up to $17.77/hourly.

     

    + up to $18,480.80/annually, approximately.
