Our client, a design and manufacturing firm of exterior automotive parts, is seeking an Buyer/ Planner to join their team. As a Buyer/Planner, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting Engineering & Manufacturing. The ideal candidate **MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE USING AN AS400 ERP SYSTEM** , will have strong experience in designs and produces the best in vision, camera and mirror systems, telematics and accessories for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This is a contract role that will develop into a direct hire conversion and is only accepting interest from candidates local to the Milwaukee< WI metro area. No visa candidates will be considered.

**Job Title:** Buyer/Planner

**Pay:** $38-$43/hr. plus OT, benefits

Key Responsibilities

+ You will focus on ensuring material flow to our Reynosa by leveraging your knowledge of setting up and following through on POs in an AS400 environment.

+ International/Asia sourcing experience is helpful for this group of assigned supplies.

+ Commodities include plastic injection molding, die casting and glass, among other sub assembly parts.

+ Review requisitions and execute planned orders for materials and services at the best value, quality and delivery levels.

+ Upon request prepare RFQs for new or improved sources of supply to reduce cost and lead time, improve terms and conditions, and consolidate supplier base.

Requirements

+ Experience, education, and attitude with a track record of Purchase Order execution and follow up.

+ Varied commodity and country of origin experience.

+ A BS in Production / Operations Management / Supply Chain Mgmt. or related field and 2-3 years of experience in an assembly and distribution environment. Or Associates with appropriate experience.

+ Experience in world class lean systems such as Toyota Production Systems a plus.

+ Experience in world-class quality systems, such as TS 16949 / ISO 9000 is a plus.
