Essential Functions
+ Provides service to customers and prospective consumer loan customers
+ Often deals with r elatively large loans or those involving more risk
+ Services provided may include vehicle loans, personal unsecured notes, lines of credit, loans secured by stocks, bonds, CDs, etc.
+ May work with home improvement and home equity loans/lines of credit, student loans, credit cards, etc.
+ Processes and approves or rejects consumer loans
+ Operates with substantial credit authority
+ Participates in sales development activities
+ Follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms
+ Coordinates lending activities with others in the department
+ Reports to the Chief Lending Officer
+ Coordinates and communicates with Branch Manager to assist with rotations of opening, closing, lunch periods, etc.; particularly at small branch locations
+ Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Knowledge of Banking operations, policies and procedures
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
+ Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with customers, other departments, and branches
+ Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to computers, calculators, and printers
+ Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment, while meeting consistent deadlines
+ Ability to make quick decisions
+ Positive, outgoing personality
+ Must be able to utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain a professional demeanor
+ Ability to synthesize and act on internal and external customer needs
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor of Science Degree
+ 5 or more years of Lending experience
+ Or an equivalent amount of education and lending experience
+ Other Banking experience a plus
Working Conditions
+ Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
+ Requires corrected hearing in normal range of effective communication via telephone and alarms
+ Must be able to speak
+ May be required to either sit or stand for long periods of time
+ May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
+ Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Considerable effort and eyestrain from continued checking on the accuracy of all work.
