Job Title: Engineering Technician II
Job Description
The specialist will be responsible for assembling and adjusting mechanical and opto-mechanical systems, including high precision optical and mechanical components. The role involves collaborating with engineering teams and performing lower-level engineering work on PCBs.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble and adjust mechanical and opto-mechanical systems.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams on various projects.
+ Perform lower-level engineering work on PCBs.
+ Ensure precision in handling optical and mechanical components.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Drafting, and Design.
+ Understanding of AS9100 standards.
+ Background in electro-mechanical or optoelectronics.
+ Experience with PCB, including 18 layers, soldering, and fiber splicing.
+ Knowledge of engineering, mechanical, and blueprint reading.
+ 2+ years of experience with SMT and/or PCBA assembly equipment and processes.
+ 4+ years of experience with SMT equipment operation in a production setting.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced with a focus on low-volume, high-mix telecom and military devices used in navy applications. The company is driven to meet production goals by the end of the year. There is an option for employees to transition to direct employment, and the team is based in Germany. There is a high probability of the team being acquired by RocketLab and transitioning to their operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Hawthorne, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
