Commissioning Engineer

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for providing on-site engineering and technical support throughout the full lifecycle of construction and facility projects. This includes validating system performance, coordinating commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with design and operational standards. The role involves hands-on field work, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders. Candidates must be able to manage submittals, lead training efforts, and support Operational Project Readiness (OPR) initiatives. This position requires strong knowledge of MEPF systems, the ability to perform physical tasks in varied environments, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Pay: 100k-180k
Responsibilities
+ Request, collect, and catalog submittals from trade partners
+ Assemble and brand project manuals and reports
+ Collaborate with Facility Solutions and Commissioning Associates
+ Review and coordinate systems readiness and performance test drafts
+ Conduct field observations to verify construction status
+ Coordinate and participate in videography efforts for owner training
+ Lead and mentor Facility Solution Associate I and II
+ Implement Operational Project Readiness (OPR) activities related to MEPF technical assessment and coordination
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 2–5 years of relevant work experience
+ CxP or CxA Certification preferred
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Detail-oriented and highly organized
+ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
+ Demonstrated problem-solving skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
Disqualifiers
+ Less than 2 years of relevant experience
+ No commissioning or construction experience
+ Lack of experience with MEPF systems
+ Inability to perform physical jobsite tasks
+ Not located near Seattle, WA

Work Environment
+ Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
+ Heavy physical work: lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing, kneeling, crouching

+ Frequent use of computers, tablets, and other office machinery
+ Requires visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified

This is a Permanent position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
