Job Title: Engineering Designer
Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Designer with a passion for entering the field of Automotive Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing math and design solutions to meet subsystem and component requirements. This role demands creativity, initiative, and independent problem-solving skills while leading cross-functional teams for issue resolution. The candidate should be driven to embrace technology and become an expert in Automotive Design, Engineering Best Practices, and Manufacturing Requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Support component and subsystem requirements.
+ Develop, refine, and finalize criteria and typical sections.
+ Develop standard modeling methods and processes.
+ Apply design standards and best practices, demonstrating proficiency in design operations and processes.
+ Apply manufacturability, Design for Assembly, and integration knowledge to parts and subsystem designs.
+ Facilitate and participate in design reviews, both scheduled and informal workstation reviews.
+ Document and maintain material, mass, and other part specifications within the NX file.
+ Support CAE with studies to improve designs.
+ Complete, analyze, and apply NX Analysis results for solutions of subsystem/components.
+ Support the Global Vehicle Development Process and the math fidelity for each cycle.
+ Independently integrate component subsystem design into systems.
+ Perform appropriate studies/alternatives and participate in recommendations for program direction.
+ Keep abreast of current product developments and trends in area of responsibility.
+ Support lessons learned, updating best practices, and learning sessions with program teams.
+ Create math data models of advanced, complex components, systems, and subsystems.
+ Proactively communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
+ Release system/subsystem parts to meet timing requirements with quality.
+ Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities.
+ Support current product change management processes.
Required Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Technical Design/Engineering/Engineering Technology
+ Must have Experience using NX
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Drive and passion for technology and automotive design.
+ Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
