    Description

    Robert Half is currently working with a client in the professional services industry for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about financial accuracy and take pride in maintaining organized and precise records.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Process accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accurate and timely payments and invoices.

    + Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.

    + Maintain the general ledger by entering journal entries and adjustments.

    + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements

    + Process payroll and ensure compliance with payroll tax laws and regulations.

    + Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules.

    + Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and variance analysis.

    + Prepare tax documents, such as sales tax filings and other compliance reports.

    + Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring they align with company policies and compliance requirements.

    + Work closely with management and other departments to support financial forecasting and planning.

    Requirements

    + Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable professional experience preferred.

    + 2-4 years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience is required.

    + Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage.

    + Sound knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP principles.

    + Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas).

    + Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

    + Adept at multitasking while maintaining accuracy under pressure.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
