Description

We are looking for a skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in Olive Branch, Mississippi. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing automated systems, ensuring their seamless performance and reliability. You will collaborate across departments to troubleshoot issues, enhance system functionality, and contribute to the design and implementation of innovative automation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and resolve issues for automated systems such as conveyors, robotics, scanners, and print/apply stations.

• Monitor control systems and industrial networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT teams to address system challenges and implement improvements.

• Investigate system failures, identify root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.

• Utilize diagnostic tools and software to collect performance data and recommend actionable enhancements.

• Create detailed documentation for system architecture, operational procedures, and support guides.

• Contribute to the planning and prioritization of technology upgrades and system enhancements.

• Assist in integrating warehouse control systems with warehouse management systems to optimize operations.

• Partner on the design and execution of automation projects, including control panel design, device selection, and commissioning.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automated distribution or manufacturing environments.

• Proficiency in PLC programming and industrial electrical systems such as 480V 3-phase, 110VAC, and 24VDC.

• Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, warehouse management systems, and warehouse control systems.

• Familiarity with robotic systems and their implementation in automated processes.

• Experience with diagnostic tools and industrial networking protocols.

• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Background in platforms like Fortna or Dematic is preferred.
