    Job Title: Landfill Gas Tech Foreman, $30/hr.

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Landfill Gas Tech Foreman to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of landfill gas systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe management of landfill gas systems, including the inspection and maintenance of various components.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct daily inspections, including collecting effluent readings, changing chart recorders, draining compressors, starting flares, and collecting methane at the flare.

    + Inspect spark plug igniters and connections on the flare system.

    + Examine pilot flare systems for potential leaks.

    + Monitor flare gas supply and pressure levels.

    + Change flare charts as needed.

    + Inspect and maintain air compressor components, including V-belts, air intake filters, cylinder heads, motors, and fans.

    + Check the operation and wiring of solenoid air valves and compressed air ball valves.

    + Ensure proper operation of float switches on sump pumps.

    + Monitor the Leak Detection System for any water presence in extraction well vaults.

    Essential Skills

    + Possession of a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.

    + Experience working in a landfill environment.

    + Capability to take environmental samples effectively.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with air flow meters, water flow meters, and tray air pressure systems.

    + Familiarity with blower VFD, pump VFD, and air stripper leak detection.

    + Knowledge of piping systems and heat trace maintenance.

    + Ability to check and maintain interior and exterior lighting, building heaters, and louvers.

    + Experience with PLC displays, cellular gateways, and lightning protection systems.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
