Job Title: Manufacturing and Production Operator

Job Description

Join our dynamic manufacturing team where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency. You will become an integral part of a team dedicated to producing top-notch assemblies with the utmost precision and care.

Responsibilities

+ Understand and adhere to company safety standards and product quality requirements.

+ Identify and report potential workplace hazards such as malfunctioning machines to ensure personal and team safety.

+ Ensure the highest product quality by operating SMT machines and performing tasks from feeder setup to machine operation under supervision.

+ Conduct feeder and machine accessory maintenance as needed.

+ Monitor and manage consumables for SMT lines and setup.

+ Collaborate with Stockroom, Engineering, Programming, and Quality departments to produce high-quality assemblies.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about job-related issues, providing solutions where possible.

+ Document work accurately and completely as required.

+ Maintain company standards to achieve customer satisfaction and production targets.

+ Keep the workspace organized for safety and productivity, suggesting improvements where necessary.

+ Operate various machines related to the manufacturing process.

+ Stay current with assembly and maintenance instructions, acquiring necessary certifications proactively.

+ Inspect equipment, perform necessary maintenance and repairs, and recommend adjustments to improve machine performance.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in assembly, soldering, and electronic assembly.

+ Experience with SMT, electronics, production, and blueprint reading.

+ Ability to use a microscope for inspection purposes.

+ Commitment to safety rules and procedures with the ability to use safety equipment.

+ Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift or push weights up to 50 pounds.

+ Flexibility for shift scheduling, including overtime and holiday shifts.

+ Basic English communication skills for reading, speaking, understanding, and communicating effectively.

+ Team coordination and collaboration skills.

+ Skills in soldering, circuit board handling, and surface-mount technology troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency with electrical schematics and SMT machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ Level 1: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Level 2: 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Level 3: 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carson City, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
