    Pipe Fitters Needed Immediately!

     

    Pay: $30-$35 p/hr

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter with proven expertise in fabricating, assembling, and installing piping systems using copper and carbon steel materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprint interpretation, isometric drawings, and pipefitting standards, ensuring precise layout and alignment for high-performance piping systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and isometric drawings to determine pipe routing and dimensions.

    + Perform accurate pipe take-offs and material calculations for copper and carbon steel piping systems.

    + Cut, thread, groove, and bevel pipe ends using pipe cutters, threading machines, and grinders.

    + Fabricate pipe spools and assemblies ensuring proper center-to-center measurements and offset calculations.

    + Install piping systems according to relevant standards, ensuring correct pitch, alignment, and support spacing.

    + Fit and align pipe sections using pipe clamps, chain vices, and alignment tools.

    + Secure joints using brazing, soldering (for copper), and welding preparation (for carbon steel).

    + Install flanges, gaskets, valves, and hangers ensuring proper torque and sealing integrity.

    + Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests to verify system integrity.

    + Inspect joints and connections for leaks and compliance with specifications.

    + Adhere to OSHA safety standards, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

    + Work closely with welders, plumbers, and project supervisors to coordinate installation schedules.

    + Communicate effectively to resolve design discrepancies and ensure timely project completion.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum 3–5 years of pipefitting experience with copper and carbon steel materials.

    + Proficiency in brazing, soldering, and pipe threading techniques.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.

    + Familiarity with pipefitting tools: pipe cutters, threading machines, beveling tools, and alignment jigs.

    + Knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).

    + Strong understanding of thermal expansion, pipe supports, and stress considerations.

    + Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Certification in Pipefitting or Plumbing.

    + Experience with industrial piping systems (HVAC, process piping, or mechanical systems).

    + OSHA 10/30 certification.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
