CNC Machinist – Level 3
Overview:
We are currently hiring a highly experienced CNC Machinist to join our aerospace-focused manufacturing team. This advanced-level role involves operating and programming multi-axis CNC equipment with precision and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong machining, a proactive approach to process improvement, and the ability to support team development through training and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Operate and set up CNC machines, including 3-, 4-, and 5-axis configurations.
+ Apply both foundational and advanced machining techniques to produce high-quality components.
+ Conduct part inspections using standard measurement tools and perform deburring as needed.
+ Adhere to established quality protocols and production timelines.
+ Document workflow and job progress using ERP systems.
+ Collaborate with team members to maintain Lean and 6S manufacturing standards.
+ Design and implement tooling and machining processes tailored to production needs.
+ Train and mentor team members; recommend qualifications for specific equipment and processes.
+ Modify CNC programs and optimize machine performance.
+ Lead production assignments and monitor output to ensure targets are met.
+ Troubleshoot complex machining issues and contribute to safety and quality investigations.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ Demonstrated expertise in operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines.
+ Hands-on experience with Haas equipment, especially VF-6 with TR-310 trunnion, is highly desirable.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills.
+ Comfortable working independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ In-depth understanding of manufacturing workflows and CNC operations.
+ Proven experience in mentoring or training machinists.
+ Developing and refining tooling and machining processes.
+ Leadership capabilities and experience overseeing production tasks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
