Job Summary:
The mission of SUNY Upstate Medical University is to improve the health of the communities we serve through Education, Biomedical Research, and Health Care. Beyond our downtown campus, we provide care through our clinics and offices across the greater Syracuse area.
In support of our ongoing growth, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join Upstate Ear, Nose & Throat’s Outpatient Clinic, located within the Upstate Specialty Services at the Harrison Center. This is a clinic-based position, with a significant number of office-based procedures, offering the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic surgical and clinical team within the ENT.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct outpatient ENT encounters, including performing and assisting with a variety of in-office procedures.
+ Provide education and communicate effectively with primary teams, patients, and families.
+ Assess and evaluate patients, perform minor and diagnostic procedures, order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies, and coordinate referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, referring physicians, and all members of the healthcare team to support continuity of care.
As an APP, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate’s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or graduated from an accredited PA program).
+ NYS Licensed/Registered NP or PA.
+ Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice.
+ Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire.
+ CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
+ Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ At Least 2 or more years of experience in a Primary Care or Internal Medicine role, preferred but not required
+ 2 or more years experience in ENT.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday, 0800-1630; No Weekends or Call
