Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Tyndall Information, Tickets and Travel Office . Incumbent will be required to work evening and weekend hours. Responsibilities Responsible for establishing commercial reservations and/or assist with the operation and maintenance of ITT and recreational facility. Types of duties include, but are not limited to the following: Provide clerical and organizational support Handle tasks like answering phones, process payments, issuing tickets and handle reservations. Provide clear and accurate guidance, and coordination of leisure travel. Assist in planning and implementing recreational programs, games, and events. Ensure facility and equipment are in safe condition. Performs minor repairs of recreation equipment. Transport groups in activity van to organized recreational activities. Assist management in operation of movie theater and sound system. Assist with inventories, maintain record and protecting assets. Position may also assist when needed in FedEx services and maintain RV resale lot. Must be able to performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Desirable to have experience with professional travel agent computer base travel reservations and ticketing software. Incumbent will be required to work evening and weekend hours. Require practical knowledge of computer programs to include Word, Excel and outlook. Knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, point of sales system, rules and procedures. Must possess a valid current drivers license and the ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner. Extremely customer oriented and possess excellent customer service skills. Should have cashier, and simple bookkeeping accounting experience. Must be able to write and read in English. THIS IS A DRUG TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing for use. Must satisfactorily complete a NAC (National Agency Check). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
