    We have an exciting opportunity for a **GN&C Analyst** to join the team with Bastion Technologies, a teammate company.

     

    This position is on the JETS HyperSTEP GN&C Team providing mission analysis and design across the Artemis Program. The selected applicant will:

     

    + Support the HyperSTEP Project in leading analysis, functional, and integrated testing of the parachute subsystem

    + Assist in hands on assembly of test and flight test units for HyperSTEP spacecraft vehicles

    + Lead functional and integrated testing of Thermal Protection System (TPS) hardware sensors (hardware and software)

    + Support Systems Engineering & Integration work for the HyperSTEP spacecraft

    + Perform other duties as required

    Requisition Qualifications:

    This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

     

    + Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

    + Experience with development of spacecraft design algorithms and analyzing spacecraft performance

    + Experience developing, verifying, and validating performance requirements via embedded systems and hardware testing

    + Knowledge of and experience with Thermal Protection System (TPS) ablators

    + Familiar with TPS thermal analysis and tools such as the CHarring Ablator Response (CHAR) tool

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Experience working in a team environment

    + Strong interpersonal skills to enable successful performance in a collaborative environment

    + Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision

    + Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at meetings

    + Experience with Microsoft Office products

    Requisition Preferences:

    + Proficiency in the software programming languages Python, C, and Julia

    + Experience with the Genesis simulation

    + Experience with product delivery and management

    + Experience with source code management tools such as Git/GitLab and continuous integration systems such as Gitlab.

    Essential Functions

    Work Environment

     

    Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

    Physical Requirements

    Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

     

    Equipment and Machines

     

    Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

     

    Attendance

     

    Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
