Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

What You’ll Do:

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome speech, language, and communication challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

+ Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs of students.

+ Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.

+ Providing direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, tailored to their unique goals and needs.

+ Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.

+ Documenting all services provided in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

+ Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions.

+ Educating and supporting school staff and families on communication disorders and strategies for classroom success.

+ Maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, licensure requirements, and professional standards.

Qualifications:

+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of California

+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred (may be required by contract)

+ School-based experience strongly preferred

+ Familiarity with IEP development and implementation

+ Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and current best practices

+ Current CPR certification, if applicable

+ TB screening (PPD or chest x-ray), if applicable

+ Current health certificate, per contract or state regulation

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
