The Manager of Quality provides operational leadership for the organization’s quality and regulatory programs. This role oversees quality reporting, infection prevention, accreditation and regulatory performance. The Manager ensures that Mary Greeley Medical Center maintains the highest standards of quality, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and service recovery. The role requires exceptional emotional intelligence, discretion, and the ability to navigate complex, high-risk situations involving patients, families, providers, and regulatory bodies. In partnership with organizational leaders and supported by the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework and Magnet standards, this role fosters a culture of regulatory readiness, continuous improvement, systems thinking, and transparency in operations.

Key Responsibilities
+ Implement and monitor quality management programs aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
+ Conduct audits, data analysis, and reporting to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
+ Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to develop action plans for quality and compliance issues.
+ Support continuous readiness for DNV, CMS, and other regulatory surveys.
+ Facilitate education and training on quality standards and best practices.
+ Serve as a resource for performance improvement methodologies and tools.
Required Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
+ Licensed as a Registered Nurse and authorized by the State of Iowa to practice nursing or has active multistate license approved by the Nurse Licensure Compact.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management, compliance, or performance improvement in a healthcare setting.
+ Knowledge of DNV, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
Preferred Education, Licensure, Certification, Experience
+ Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related discipline.
+ Certification in healthcare quality (e.g., CPHQ) or patient safety (e.g., CPPS).
+ Experience with data analytics and quality improvement methodologies.
