    Role Summary:

    ONE Gas is seeking a positive, motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Business Transformation & Automation team supporting Robotic Process Automation. This role will play a key part in leveraging RPA and additional automation technologies to directly impact internal business customers in a positive way with time savings, efficiencies gained, and quality improvement. You will be responsible for working and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and process documentation, create and develop solutions utilizing development methodologies, and support automation solutions and platforms.

     

    What You Will Do

     

    Assist in aspects of software enhancement for primarily packaged applications including software configuration, testing and deployment activities.

     

    Assist in the identification, configuration, testing, deployment and maintenance of software solutions around an existing application suite.

     

    Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from users to determine the capabilities that need to be delivered.

     

    Assist team members in the deployment of existing solutions across other business segments inside ONE Gas.

     

    Coordinate and communicate solution design or development activities with other team members, application and infrastructure personnel and vendors while communicating to management as appropriate.

     

    Identify opportunities to support process improvements or deploy automations solutions in areas in the organization.

     

    Follow defined IT or business processes and compliance procedures associated with software development and support, including all required documentation and governance standards.

     

    Interact with business users via consulting and training to ensure effective use of technology automations or solutions.

     

    Regular and reliable attendance is required in the performance of the job.

     

    Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

     

    What You Will Need

     

    Preferred Bachelor's Degree MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and/or work experience in addition to the following job-related experience.

     

    Knowledge of at least one development language and/or software development project particularly specified to automation.

     

    Knowledge of process improvement / process re-engineering concepts, measures, and methodologies for continuous improvement.

     

    Knowledge of software solution or development, technical support, database management systems, and programming concepts/techniques.

     

    Knowledge of basic technology infrastructure concepts.

     

    Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodology and basic project management concepts.

     

    Ability to analyze, identify, and/or resolve problems with solutions, systems, processes, or procedures.

     

    Knowledge of application of math, algebra and statistical methods.

     

    Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.

     

    Experience interacting, advising and communicating effectively.

     

    Experience developing information and making presentations.

     

    Read and write fluently in English.

     

    Preferred Applicable Driver's License

     

    Use office tools and equipment required.

     

    Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and meetings.

     

    Visual abilities to perform job duties.
