Core Job Responsibilities:
+ Technically lead integration in the areas of focus including GPU, visualization pipeline, and real time AI models
+ Drive decomposition of feature, requirement, and SW needs and evaluate computer HW design and capabilities to meet those needs
+ Own characterization and de-risking of the design from prototype to complete subsystem level. Analyze results and provide meaningful insights or conclusions to drive technical decisions
+ Identify, root cause, and resolve novel issues that arise by mentoring team members & collaborating with functional partners
+ Support innovation & development of test methods and fixtures for system/subsystem integration, test, and calibration
+ Provide technical mentorship to team members
Qualifications:
+ BS in Computer, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or other applicable technical degree with 8+ years of related experience, OR MS with 5+ years, OR PhD with 3+ years is required
+ Ability to lead, mentor and delegate to other engineers and technicians is required
+ Proven experience in computer HW and SW development & integration required
+ Proven knowledge of operating systems, computer component selection, and computer architecture required
+ Experience with hardware specification and performance benchmarking required
+ Proven understanding of programming concepts and ability to modify existing code (C++, python, etc) required
+ Understanding of basic engineering fundamentals in multiple disciplines, with ability to quickly come up to speed in new technical areas required
+ Experience partitioning and decomposing sophisticated engineering problems into solvable problems required
+ Experience with GPU HW for real time AI models preferred
+ Understanding of ML/AI techniques is preferred
+ Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively about technical topics with other leaders to make key technical decisions preferred
+ Project management skills is preferred
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 141,000 - 227,700 California Bay Area
