Job Description

A client in the transportation and logistics industry is looking for a contract Business Analyst who thrives in dynamic environments and excels at bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires strong skills in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process visualization, along with hands-on experience using Jira/Atlassian tools and Lucidchart or Miro for collaboration and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

Engage with cross-functional teams—including business leaders, product managers, and technical staff—to understand and document business needs, pain points, and goals.

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to elicit functional and non-functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Project & Workflow Management:

Use Jira/Atlassian tools to manage backlogs, track progress, and ensure alignment between business and development teams.

• Process Mapping & Visualization:

Create detailed process flows, wireframes, and system diagrams using Lucidchart or Miro to support solution design and stakeholder understanding.

• Documentation & Communication:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, requirements, and decisions. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to the evolution of business analysis practices within the organization.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technology or product-driven environment.

• Proficiency with Jira/Atlassian tools for agile project management and collaboration.

• Strong experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Skilled in creating visual documentation using Lucidchart or Miro.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Transportation or logistics industry experience
