    Compensation:

    $25/hr to $35/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.     Job Description:

    A Fortune 100 client of Insight Global is seeking several Electrical Support Engineers to join their Critical Environment Team at a brand-new data center site. This team ensures the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure systems, including:

    • Power distribution, breakers, and switchgear

    • Fire protection systems

    • Water and cooling systems

    • Fan speed and building temperature automation

    • HVAC and refrigeration cycles

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in shift turnovers and communicate findings or pending tasks

    • Perform rounds and monitor alarms in the Safety Operations Center (SOC)

    • Conduct preventative maintenance (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on HVAC, generators, fire suppression systems

    • Troubleshoot electrical systems, breakers, and HVAC issues

    • Interface with fire systems and understand refrigeration cycles

    • Draft and maintain processes and procedures (MOPs, SOPs)

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center).

    • Experience with mechanical or electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields

    • Previous data center experience

    • OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification

    • Experience with building management systems (EPMS)

    • Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code

    • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent • Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)

    • Military experience (e.g., service in the U.S. Navy or other armed forces) is highly valued but not required
