Job Description
You will lead the design and optimization of mechanical components for low-voltage DC systems in modular data centers and containerized deployments. This includes driving CAD modeling, advanced thermal and structural analysis, and ensuring seamless integration with electrical systems. You’ll oversee prototype builds, validate designs through rigorous testing, and guide suppliers through design-to-production transitions. Expect to mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex design challenges, and influence cross-functional strategies aligned with Google’s sustainability and modular deployment goals.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for electrical or power systems.
• Expertise in CAD tools (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
• Advanced experience with thermal analysis and FEA tools.
• Deep familiarity with low-voltage DC applications and modular infrastructure.
• Proven track record in high-volume manufacturing processes (injection molding, die casting, sheet metal). • Experience in data center or containerized system design.
• Knowledge of Google’s sustainability and modular deployment initiatives.
• Exposure to electro-mechanical integration for DC power electronics.
• Understanding of seismic and environmental compliance standards.
• Ability to lead global supplier engagement and manage design-to-production transitions.
