Lead Innovation in Aerospace as an Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer!
**Location:** Oklahoma City, OK (able to hire from 3 different locations; Oklahoma City, OK, San Antonio, TX, Titusville, FL)
**Job Type:** Full-Time | 12-Month Consultant Assignment
**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, First Shift (7 AM–4 PM)
**Pay Starting at:** $70.25 per hour
About the Role
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an accomplished **Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer (Level 4)** to join our partner—a global aerospace leader—supporting the **Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Electromagnetic Effects Group** . In this role, you’ll apply your expertise to develop and validate **Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3)** requirements and architectures for advanced defense and surveillance aircraft, including the **US E-7A, VC-25B, and KC-46A Tanker** programs. Your contributions will play a critical role in ensuring the electromagnetic integrity, safety, and performance of these mission-critical systems.
What You’ll Do
+ Design, analyze, and validate systems for **E3 performance** , ensuring aircraft and subsystem compatibility.
+ Perform complex **trade studies, modeling, and simulations** to predict and optimize electromagnetic performance.
+ Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure **system-level EMC compliance** .
+ Provide technical guidance and expertise in **EMI/EMC design and test methodologies** .
+ Support project management by developing work statements, schedules, and technical reviews.
+ Develop and implement **test automation** for aircraft modifications.
+ Prepare and analyze engineering data for inclusion in comprehensive reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics** .
+ **7+ years** of related experience in **Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)** or **E3 engineering** .
+ Strong understanding of **RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering** concepts.
+ **Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance.**
+ **This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.**
+ Willingness to travel up to **25%** as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in the **aerospace or defense industry** .
+ Familiarity with **MIL-STD-461/464** and/or **DO-160 EMI/EMC** standards.
+ Background in **aircraft-level E3 testing** and qualification processes.
+ Understanding of **RF systems** , **bonding best practices** , and **computational E3 analysis tools** .
+ Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field is preferred.

**Pay Details:** $70.25 per hour
