Machine Operator

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm

Pay Rate: $20-22/hour to start

Responsibilities:

+ Set up machinery for operation –Extruder and Grinders

+ Operate extruders and grinders according to instructions

+ Must be physically able to both load material and remove molded product from the machine as required (up to 50 pounds)

+ Ability to distinguish light from dark for material separation

+ Some cutting, and trimming of parts is required

+ Troubleshoot issues under the direction of the Supervisor

+ Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to Supervisor

+ Comply with all safety and health regulations

+ Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area

Qualifications:

+ Previous machine operating experience a plus

+ Understanding of production and plant processes is helpful

+ Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement

+ Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
