Job Summary
Provides high level technical expertise and functional support for the core applications across Energy Supply Acquisition & Operations (ESA&O), including energy settlements and retail choice operations. This position is responsible for identifying, specifying and analyzing system business requirements, and managing and directing systems projects from application design through testing and implementation for energy commodity applications.
Job Responsibilities
+ Provide lead technical and functional support for the systems that support the energy commodity processes including energy settlements, energy acquisition and retail choice operations - inclusive of monitoring of daily operations, issue identification and resolution and coordinating change management process with PSEG IT and the system vendors.
+ Manage system projects inclusive of the development of functional and technical business requirements, application development, testing, and project QC.
+ Experience developing system reports and functionality to support business processes.
+ Leads the development, implementation and management of systems controls, including change management, system security and access rights, and compliance with SOX and general IT controls.
+ Develops and implements system disaster recovery plans, and tests, and support business continuity planning.
+ Provide technical, functional, and analytical support to energy commodity processes and systems, including the development of system reports, queries and functionality to meet process needs.
+ Interact with vendors to assess functional capabilities and evalulatons.
+ Leads interaction with vendors in the development and ongoing assessment of system support, processing and performance. Coordinates with PSEG IT department to ensure proper support for ESA&O systems & processes and to stay informed of planned system updates, changes, and corporate wide technology shifts which would impact ESA&O.
+ Monitor industry trends and new system advancements and interact with industry peers to benchmark system functionality and ensure best in class business processes and functionality.
Job Specific Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ 5 years experience in IT Business Systems analysis
+ Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
