SUMMARY
The Vice President of DMHAS-Funded Residential Services oversees recovery-oriented residential programs, including Young Adult Services (YAS) and adult community support funded by DMHAS and Money Follows the Person (MFP). This leadership role ensures person-centered care and seamless service delivery across multiple programs, working collaboratively with community partners to support individuals in achieving independence and stability in the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory
+ Provides on-site supervision and training to the Clinical and Program Directors
+ Assists Directors in providing supervision, training and evaluation of the Coordinator-level management team and indirectly to Residential and Community Cases’ Case Managers
+ Works with Directors and Human Resources Department to coordinate all staffing needs for the DRS programs including reviewing weekly postings, follow up on pending applications, and ensure job postings are on the web
+ Directs supervisory staff to the Human Resources Department for disciplinary actions regarding agency policies, procedures, and protocols
+ Serves as liaison to the Young Adult Services division of the Connecticut Mental Health Center.
+ Participates in the hiring of management-level staff including conducting of interviews
+ Advises and assists with the coordination of training for all DRS staff, including instructing in-services at staff meetings
Program Compliance and Quality Assurance
+ Reviews staffing patterns of programs to ensure staffing levels remain adequate and within budgetary guidelines
+ Assists with the budgetary updates for program and works collaboratively with Client Funds Specialist to make sure
+ entitlements, rents subsidies and any potential sources of income for residents is maximized
+ Operates motor vehicles safely and in accordance with State Law (agency and personal automobiles) while on work related duties
+ Makes sure agency vehicles are maintained as prescribed
Individual and Program Development
+ Acts as a liaison to other community agencies, funding sources, families/guardians, and other institutions
+ Maintains certification/current training in approaches to provide promising, best and evidence-based services that will be developmentally-appropriate to the population of the program
+ Develops relationships with other providers and funding sources to network on new strategies and systems of program development
+ Provides overall program development for all aspects of DMHAS- Funded Residential Services in line with recovery [1] oriented principles including systems for care provision, person-centered planning processes, etc
Program Planning and Service Delivery
+ Stays abreast of current trends within the behavioral health field and coordinates training for all pertinent staff with regard to recovery principles, evidence based practices, trauma-informed care and developmentally appropriate services
+ Facilitates family and significant other involvement
+ Participates and assists with abuse and neglect investigations as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
+ Master's Degree in a clinical area (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field) plus 5 years of progressive experience working with young adults or individuals with behavioral health service needs, clinical experience and/or familiarity with school system special education programs is required. At least two years of supervisory experience required. The Vice President must have evidence of ongoing training in promising, best and evidence-based practices to provide an effective system of behavioral health care to young adults and other individuals with these service needs.
SALARY
+ $66,300/yr. Increases to $71,910/yr, after 6-month introductory period.
