Your role and responsibilities
HashiCorp is a fast-growing startup that solves development, operations, and security challenges in infrastructure so organizations can focus on business-critical tasks. We build products to give organizations a consistent way to manage their move to cloud-based IT infrastructures for running their applications. Our products enable companies large and small to mix and match AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other clouds as well as on-premises environments, easing their ability to deliver new applications for their business. The Global 2000 uses our enterprise software to accelerate application delivery and drive innovation through software. About the role HashiCorp is looking for a driven & energetic Sales Development Manager to help continue the growth of our SDR team in Austin, Texas. This team is responsible for building new business pipeline for our Enterprise Account Segment in the Americas by fielding inbound requests and proactively prospecting into a specific account list. This leader will play a critical role as a coach and mentor for SDRs as they work towards progressing into closing roles and becoming future leaders within our organization. In this role you can expect to
• Hire, guide and motivate a high performing team to drive revenue growth through a positive, high-touch customer experience
• Connect team members to key resources and clear roadblocks, enabling them to achieve and/or exceed their revenue goals
• Drive your team towards consistent processes & best practices, without micromanaging every action
• Instill and maintain a quality and integrity based sales process with respect to rep/customer interactions
• Partner closely with our enablement team to provide training and ongoing coaching to the Sales Development team
• Track/report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Prepare and present team forecast to leadership
• Work closely with the extended Enterprise Sales leadership team
• Facilitate and develop ongoing internal partnerships with various business units including Sales Engineering and Marketing
Required technical and professional expertise
• 3+ years in software tech sales and/or sales development preferred
• Demonstrable success in leading/managing teams, positioning a complex product suite
• Experience as a mentor, coach, and leader within a team
• A track record of success in building a diverse, high performing team
• Ready to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team achieve their objectives
• Strong knowledge of the full sales cycle, from prospecting, cold calling through to negotiation and closing
• Experience in SaaS, Open Source, Security, or Infrastructure products is a plus
• Technical aptitude, and ability to learn new concepts quickly
